The Atlanta Flute Club's Masterclass Competition is for college flutists who are enrolled full-time as a student at a university at the time of application. Applicants must be a member of the The Atlanta Flute Club and be current in their dues obligations. 
Applicants, your membership fee will be automatically added to your application fee at checkout.​ The preliminary recording should be AUDIO ONLY, ONE-TAKE. Please note NO EDITING WHATSOEVER IS PERMITTED.

 

A committee will judge the preliminary audition, and three finalists will be chosen to perform in a masterclass for AFC Flute Fair guest artist Megan Ensor on March 13th, 2027 at the Flute Fair.

John Williams: "Hagrid's Friendly Bird" from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Georges Bizet: Entr’acte from Carmen

Ludwig van Beethoven: Overture from Leonore No.3 - mm. 328-360

PICCOLO:

G. Rossini: Semiramide Overture - rehearsal G-H

Ippolotov-Ivanov: Caucasian Sketches - 8 before A to B

*Selected performers may choose to play either flute or piccolo in the class.*

The deadline for recorded audition submission is 11:59 pm on February 12th, 2027.

A $50 application fee is due upon submission.​
