The Atlanta Flute Club is excited to announce the inaugural year of the Adult Amateur Competition!

The AFC Adult Amateur Competition is open to Georgia residents who engage in flute playing on an unpaid basis, who are not currently enrolled as a student at a university, and are over the age of 30 as of March 15, 2024. Applicants must be a member of the The Atlanta Flute Club and be current in their dues obligations. 
Applicants, your membership fee will be automatically added to your application fee at checkout.

This competition is by recorded round only. There will not be a live performance portion of this competition. 

  A committee will judge all recordings, and three finalists will be recognized at the 2024 AFC Flute Fair.

The deadline for recorded audition submission is 11:59 pm on March 15, 2024.

A $25 application fee is due upon submission. Application forms can be accessed here.

Prizes for the Adult Amateur Competition:

First Place: Flute Lesson with Christina Smith, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra

Second Place: $200 Repair Credit with Keren Barr, North Georgia Band Service

Third Place: Free Admission the 2024 Atlanta Flute Fair
