The Atlanta Flute Club announces the Carl D. Hall Piccolo Artist Scholarship, given in memory of Carl D. Hall, one of our founding members and an avid supporter of the Atlanta Flute Club. The competition is open to full-time high school and college students who have not reached their thirtieth (30th) birthday. Applicants must be members of the Atlanta Flute Club (applicants, your membership fee will be automatically added to your application fee at checkout). The competition will be by video audition (click here for video guidelines and submission information) which will be judged by a committee. The scholarship consists of a $500 cash prize to be used to further the winner’s music education, a custom headjoint from Pettry Piccolos, and a 30 minute piccolo recital at the 2021 Flute Fair.
The deadline for your video audition submission is February 8, 2021, and there is a $40 application fee due upon submission in addition to a $25 membership fee for 2021.
*Due to COVID-19 related complications, piano accompaniment is encouraged but not required.
