Anne Gordon, a Georgia native, began playing the flute while in the sixth grade. Following her grandmother's dream of having a granddaughter play the flute, she went on to have many successful auditions in high school including district honor band, all-state band, the Cobb Youth Symphony, and the Georgia Governor's Honors Program. She studied with Beverly Bradley throughout middle and high school. Upon graduation, Anne attended Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, where she consistently placed first chair in the university's orchestra and wind ensemble. Anne studied flute with Eleanor Boda, Rhea Jacobus, and Cynthia Hopkins. She completed a degree in Music Education, cum laude, in 1999. Anne then attended the University of Georgia, where she completed a Master's in Flute Performance with a 4.0 GPA, studying with Ronald Waln and Angela Jones-Reus.

After completing her education, Anne returned to Marietta, Georgia, where she currently lives with her husband, Devin, and her children, Emma (15) and Jack (13). She runs an active flute studio, attracting students from all of Cobb County. She is also in demand as a flute clinician at multiple local schools. She performs regularly with the Tara Winds Symphonic Band and the Gwinnett Symphony Orchestra. Recently, Anne was chosen through audition to be one of twelve selected to participate in a week-long masterclass for Sir James Galway. Anne has also played for Jeanne Baxtresser and Carl Hall.

Anne is a licensed Kindermusik educator, and spent many years making music with the littlest musicians around. She strongly believes in music education from birth. Anne recently retired as a Kindermusik educator in order to devote more time to teaching and playing the flute.

When she's not playing the flute, Anne enjoys CrossFit and spending time with her family. She also serves as the Webmaster for the Atlanta Flute Club.
