2012 Atlanta Flute Fair
Featuring Special Guest Artist Ian Clarke

The Atlanta Flute Club is privileged and pleased to announce that Ian Clarke will be our guest artist for the 2012 Flute Fair on February 25, 2012.  Ian is known in the flute world as a fantastic performer and an innovative composer.  For more information see his web site at http://www.ianclarke.net .  Ian will give a concert, masterclass/workshop, and will also be one of the judges for our Young Artist Competition.  We are very excited to have him make the Atlanta Flute Fair part of his US tour.

New for this year the club will sponsor a Junior Artist Competition  for students through the 10th grade.  The winner of this competition will present a 15 minute program at the Flute Fair!  The 12th Annual Young Artist Competition  is open to full-time high school and college students who have not reached their thirtieth birthday.

In addition, David Graham, winner of the 2011 AFC Young Artist Competition will give a recital.  The 2011 Young Artist Finals, the AFC Middle and High School Honors Choirs (additional Information) and a flute choir reading session will round out the day.  Be sure to put the date on your calendar now!

The flute fair will be held on the Clarkston Campus of Georgia Perimeter College (directions) on February 25, 2012.

Please pre-register if possible to help us know how many flutists to expect. Let us know if you intend to purchase a sack lunch for $6.00. (Lunches are provided by the college cafeteria and will be available in the lobby of the auditorium.) The form to register is located below.
